Elevate your customer service skills as a full-time Support Clerk with the Township of Langley. This temporary role focuses on managing permit applications and responding to inquiries from July 2026 to July 2027.
As a key member of the Permits, Licences and Inspections Division, you will be the main contact for customer service, processing requests, and preparing applications. You will develop a strong foundation in municipal processes by handling various tasks quickly and accurately while prioritizing service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and process plumbing and building permit applications
• Address inquiries and complaints via phone and in person
• Maintain and update electronic and manual records
• Assist with general rules, regulations, and policies
• Perform additional support tasks as required
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 with accounting courses
• Experience in a municipal environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of business English and arithmetic
• Knowledge of records management and billing
• Effective communication skills with the public
