Position: Senior Buyer for Township
Join the Township of Langley as a Senior Buyer and leverage your procurement expertise in a full-time role within the Finance Division. Contribute to purchasing strategies while ensuring compliance and supporting community initiatives.

In this unionized position, you will report to the Manager of Purchasing Services and perform essential tasks related to procurement operations. You'll apply your knowledge of purchasing policies and manage supplier contracts effectively. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong negotiation skills and a proven background in public sector purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist manager with purchasing operations and strategies

• Coordinate procurement processes for various goods and services

• Prepare competitive bid documents and requests for quotations

• Review and evaluate supplier performance and contract terms

• Resolve contract disputes and challenges as needed

Requirements:

• Grade 12 completion plus Canadian Supply Chain Management Program

• Thorough knowledge of public sector purchasing policies

• Ability to negotiate and administer contracts effectively

• Experience in competitive bidding and contract law assets

• BC Class 5 Driver’s License required for application
