Position: Senior Buyer Role
The Township of Langley seeks an experienced Senior Buyer to enhance the Finance Division's Purchasing Services team. Strong purchasing skills and compliance expertise are essential for this full-time position.

This unionized role offers an opportunity to support purchasing and procurement functions in a thriving community. The Senior Buyer will utilize significant independent judgment to advise on policies and practices while ensuring budgetary compliance. Candidates must demonstrate innovation and enthusiasm to contribute to community success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist manager with purchasing and stores operations

• Review and recommend policies and practices

• Coordinate procurement processes for goods and services

• Prepare competitive bid documents and specifications

• Resolve contract disputes and challenges

Requirements:

• Grade 12 completion with Supply Chain Management Program

• Knowledge of public sector purchasing laws

• Ability to negotiate and administer contracts

• Experience in contract law and bidding processes

• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License required
