Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Safety Leadership:
Champion a proactive safety culture, acting as a trusted advisor to management and employees.
Compliance & Risk:
Ensure full compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and legislation; lead hazard assessments and risk evaluations.
Incident Management:
Facilitate investigations, identify root causes, and track corrective actions.
Engagement:
Coordinate JOHSC meetings, safety training, and awareness campaigns.
Reporting:
Manage electronic safety systems and track KPIs, including injury frequency and audit completion rates.
Return to Work:
Administer claims management and support our RTW program.
What you must have:
Minimum 5 years of progressive HSE leadership experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and claims management.
Experience managing electronic safety systems.
Education:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
Post-secondary education in OHS, Risk Management, or a related field (Diploma/Degree preferred).
Designations: CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) preferred; CSO or Occupational First Aid training is an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary/Rate Range: $55,000.00 - $90,000.00
