Job Description
We are currently seeking a Branch Operational Support Advisor to join our team. The Branch Operational Support Advisor provides advisory services and support to branch/hub staff on retail and commercial operational issues, participates in project development, supports execution, and delivers retail and business services to members.
Typical Responsibilities
Act as the primary resource for branch/hub staff on operational and technical issues, advising and supporting staff to resolve problems promptly.
Provide support and training during branch renovations/builds to ensure seamless operations.
Update and implement banking forms and standardized policies, maintain operations and branch compliance manuals, and release timely updates. Provide monthly reporting of operational statistics.
Liaise with third‑party providers related to branch operations and obtain clarification on operational or regulatory issues.
Represent Operations on corporate projects, contributing to continuous‑improvement initiatives that create efficiencies and enhance member experience.
Perform administrative tasks as required.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
High school diploma required; college, trade or tech school diploma (2 years) in a related discipline preferred.
Three years related experience in the financial services industry required.
Solid understanding of retail and commercial policies, procedures, legal requirements, and product/service delivery.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Effective interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills for a wide variety of audiences.
Ability to facilitate meetings and training sessions or focus groups.
Proficiency with computer software applications such as MS Office.
Basic knowledge of project management considered an asset.
Demonstrates understanding and adherence to risk ownership, policies and procedures.
