In this part-time position, you'll work directly with single women and children in rent-geared-to-income housing at YWCA Fraser Gardens.
Your role involves facilitating community conversations, organizing events, and ensuring active tenant participation. This position also requires regular travel between Langley, Vancouver, and North Vancouver, potentially leading to a full-time opportunity, making it vital to be adaptable and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct tenant orientations upon move-in
• Organize bi-monthly community conversations
• Facilitate tenant events, workshops, and celebrations
• Coordinate donation distribution and manage site budget
• Supervise volunteers and maintain communal spaces
Requirements:
• Knowledge of community development principles
• Experience in event facilitation and group meetings
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Understanding of challenges faced by lone parenting women
• Familiarity with trauma-informed practices
