Secondary (high) school graduation certificate - Experience:
3 years to less than 5 years - or equivalent experience Work setting
- Various locations Tasks
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
- Select equipment for residential and small commercial construction
- Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
- Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
- Cut materials using power tools or by hand
- Fit and join sheet metal parts
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes Work conditions and physical capabilities
