We have an immediate opening for a Contract (1-Year, temporary full-time) Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer “M”, with potential to extend or convert to permanent full-time employment for the Langley Operations Department. This position will be based out of the Langley facility, British Columbia and will report to the Crew Chief.
What you’ll do
Perform Aircraft Maintenance services on a variety of helicopter typesConduct light to heavy repairsCarry our maintenance, recurring inspections and calendar inspections.Troubleshooting and ensuring operational performance and standards of the entire aircraftRecording work on Company build sheets or applicable formsFollowing established maintenance techniques and adhering to standard practicesPlacing basic parts ordersAssists other mechanics with troubleshootingIn depth knowledge of processesMay assist Lead Hand, as requiredMay have contact with customersRequired Qualifications
Formal, Transport Canada–recognized AME training (BCIT or equivalent accredited program)Understanding of Canadian Aviation RegulationsDemonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience through formal training, personal projects, school labs, or previous work (., use of hand tools, measuring tools, basic disassembly/assembly, interpreting mechanical drawings)Must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a permanent basis.Preferred Characteristics
Experience with maintenance and installation preferably on AS 332 Super Puma and/or AS350 Aircraft is an assetAME “M” license considered a strong asset
Thorough understanding of all technical documents such as: technical bulletins, alert service bulletins, etc.Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.Willing to work overtime.Ability to work with minimal supervisionBenefits that make life better
