Position:  Telecommunications Technician.

Location:

Various locations in Lower Mainland, BC.  Business Address:  2-20252 98th Ave, Langley, BC, V1M 3G1.  Type:  Permanent, Full-Time.  Wage Rate:  $36.75 per hour.

Hours:

35 hours per week.

Start Date:

As soon as possible.  Language:  English.  Position available:  1.

Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Telecommunications Technician to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about technology and communication systems and who value a respectful, inclusive workplace. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced radio and wireless communication infrastructure, helping us deliver reliable communication solutions to our clients across the Lower Mainland.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, program, test, and maintain Motorola two-way radio systems using CPS 2 software and related tools.

Commission and service Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems, repeaters, base stations, and mobile/portable radios.

Install and support Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and related wireless infrastructure.

Troubleshoot and repair telecommunications equipment including routers, switches, antennas, and network devices.

Conduct diagnostic testing, RF analysis, and signal verification to ensure optimal system performance.

Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades to improve reliability and efficiency.

Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals.

Maintain detailed documentation of service reports, installation records, and inventory.

Provide technical support and training to clients, empowering them to operate and maintain their systems confidently.

Collaborate respectfully with project managers, suppliers, and clients to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Follow all safety protocols and company procedures, upholding a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications and Requirements

College Diploma or equivalent experience in telecommunications; minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

Valid Class 5 driver’s license, with the ability to operate company vehicles safely and professionally.

Ability to work at heights and in diverse environments, including outdoors and indoors.

Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs or more and performing demanding tasks safely.

Comfortable working in challenging conditions such as wet, dusty, cold, noisy, or odorous environments.

Strong troubleshooting skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Excellent communication skills in English.

Open‑minded and respectful of diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences.

Working Conditions
This role involves working outdoors and in various environments that may include exposure to weather elements, noise, dust, and strong odors. The position is physically demanding and requires standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting heavy equipment. We are committed to ensuring a safe and inclusive workplace for all employees.
