Brief Description
Director, Corporate Initiatives is responsible for driving corporate partnership growth and revenue generation for nonprofit clients by identifying, cultivating, and helping secure transformational corporate partnerships. The role serves as a senior advisor to nonprofit leadership teams, helping organizations build partnership strategies, develop compelling sponsorship opportunities, and engage corporate decision-makers in meaningful, long‑term relationships. The Director will leverage an established network of corporate leaders, deep knowledge of cause marketing and sponsor ships, and strong business development expertise to help clients secure six‑ and seven‑figure partnerships.

- Lead corporate partnership growth strategies for nonprofit clients, focusing on securing new revenue‑generating corporate relationships.
- Identify, cultivate, and help advance relationships with senior corporate decision‑makers, including executives across marketing, CSR, philanthropy, HR, communication relations, and other leadership functions.
- Develop and maintain a robust corporate prospect pipeline aligned with client growth objectives.
- Create compelling partnership concepts and sponsorship opportunities that deliver on client desired outcomes.
- Develop executive‑level presentations and partnership proposals for corporate and board‑level audiences.
- Support negotiation strategy and partnership structuring discussions as needed throughout the sales process.
- Monitor corporate partnership trends, sponsorship best practices, CSR initiatives, and employee engagement programs to provide ongoing strategic counsel to senior client leaders.
- Build trusted relationships with senior nonprofit leaders and serve as a strategic resource for corporate partnership growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 10+ years of experience in corporate partnership marketing, cause marketing, or corporate social impact.
- Proven success securing six‑ and seven‑figure corporate partnerships.
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations or purpose‑driven brands required.
- Demonstrated success managing partnership pipelines and achieving revenue goals.
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Demonstrated success in securing corporate partnerships, sponsor ships or cause marketing agreements, valued individually at $1,000,000+ annually.
- Deep understanding of nonprofit corporate partnership programs, sponsorship activation, cause marketing, and partnership stewardship.
- Proven ability to identify, cultivate, and close complex partnership opportunities involving multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional presentation development and executive communication skills, including creation of board‑level, C‑suite, and corporate partner‑facing materials.
- Ability to participate confidently in corporate partnership pitches, executive meetings, and high‑level client presentations.
- Strong understanding of how nonprofit organizations create value for corporate partners through mission alignment, brand visibility, employee engagement, customer engagement, and social impact initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior leaders and navigating complex organizational structures.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptable and solutions‑oriented in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
- Fully competent in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems; able to quickly learn new tools and platforms.
