Chief AI ArchitectThe Chief AI Architect is responsible for designing the overall architecture and technical strategy for AMA Consulting’s Mission AI Assurance Infrastructure platform. This role will lead the development of scalable AI validation, monitoring, and governance capabilities supporting federal mission readiness and responsible AI deployment.
The Chief AI Architect will guide the platform’s technical roadmap and oversee system architecture, model validation frameworks, and engineering standards for AI assurance.
Key responsibilities include AI Platform Architecture- Design the overall architecture for AMA’s AI governance and validation platform.
- Define scalable system architecture supporting AI model evaluation and monitoring.
- Establish engineering standards for AI infrastructure and platform integration.
- Architect distributed systems supporting large-scale AI testing and compliance automation.
- Design frameworks for AI model validation, testing, and performance monitoring.
- Define technical standards for explainability, bias detection, and risk assessment.
- Establish model governance pipelines and validation workflows.
- Provide technical leadership to machine learning engineers and platform engineers.
- Guide development of the platform’s engineering roadmap.
- Evaluate emerging technologies in AI infrastructure, MLOps, and responsible AI.
- Support the development of AI readiness tools aligned with Department of Defense and federal AI frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal leadership on product strategy and technology investments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in AI engineering, machine learning infrastructure, or distributed systems.
- Proven experience designing large-scale AI or machine learning platforms.
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, and containerized systems.
- Strong experience with Python, AI frameworks, and data engineering tools.
- Demonstrated leadership managing complex technical development teams.
- Familiarity with federal AI governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, DoD AI policies).
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and distributed AI systems.
- Experience supporting federal agencies, defense programs, or national security initiatives.
- Experience with MLOps platforms and AI lifecycle management.
- PMP Certification
