Press Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating web offset printing presses and a strong understanding of printing processes.

• Set up and operate printing presses to meet job specifications and achieve high-quality printed materials.
• Handle the loading and unloading of paper and ink as required for each job.
• Maintain detailed records of daily production activities.
• Monitor press operations closely to ensure print quality, adjusting as necessary.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of presses to optimize performance and prevent downtime.
• Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the printing process.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and uphold a clean and organized work environment.
• Provide training and guidance to press helpers as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals and meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of production runs and materials usage for record-keeping purposes.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Knowledge of printing processes, including offset and digital printing.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production schedules.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.

• Understanding of printing processes and equipment operation.
• Proven experience as a web offset press operator in a printing environment.

• Full free use of hands and arms, finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Pushes or pulls hand trucks, moves, handles objects weighing up to 1400 pounds and lifts to 40 pounds.
• Duties also require considerable walking, standing, and stooping.

• This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime as needed.
• Shift work may be required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
