PCB Technician

Insight Global is seeking an experienced PCB Technician to support the assembly, inspection, and testing of electronic components used in advanced research and development initiatives. This role requires a highly skilled technician with strong soldering expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

• Assemble, inspect, and test printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies
• Perform precision SMT and through-hole soldering on complex electronic components
• Interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Conduct detailed inspections using microscopes and other quality control equipment
• Troubleshoot assembly and workmanship issues while maintaining high quality standards
• Support prototype, low-volume, and research-focused production efforts
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry workmanship and quality standards
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project and production deadlines

• High school diploma or equivalent experience/certifications
• 8+ years of PCB assembly, electronics manufacturing, or related experience
• Active J-STD-001 Certification
• Proficiency in SMT and through-hole soldering techniques
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and BOMs
• Experience working with microscopes and precision inspection tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• IPC-A-610 Certification
• Additional J-STD-001 certifications
• NASA-STD certification or experience working to NASA workmanship standards
• Experience supporting R&D, prototyping, or high-reliability electronics environments
