Are you a passionate nursing leader ready to make a difference? We’re seeking a dedicated RN Supervisor to lead our compassionate team and elevate care in a supportive and innovative environment.

Job Duties
  • Assist the Executive Director and President with overall supervision of the Medically Fragile Program.
  • Plan, organize, and provide oversight of staff to deliver client care, evaluate care, ensure client satisfaction, and monitor staffing requirements; orient clinical staff to their roles and provide leadership in clinical problem‑solving.
  • Assist with staff recruitment and orientation of new staff members.
  • Implement and interpret organizational policies, nursing standards, protocols, and regulations.
  • Supervise and coordinate client care and consulting activities of SFI, ensuring services align with contracts, policies, and procedures.
  • Supervise SFI nursing staff—including scheduling, recruitment, hiring, merit, promotions, transfers, vacation, disciplinary action, performance evaluation, orientation, training, and development.
  • Coordinate and process incoming referrals, liaison with agencies, and collaborate with the SFI Treatment Team to facilitate admissions.
  • Assess and evaluate clients at discharge from hospital; conduct SFI Quality Assurance (QA) activities including monthly chart reviews and maintain records per company procedures.
  • Oversee medication administration.
  • Deliver nursing consulting services individually or as part of a team to SFI clients; report medical concerns to the Pediatric Medical Specialist or President.
  • Prepare reports and analyses for budgets, progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations.
  • Follow up on Individual Service Plans (ISP) and Educational Plans (IEP) on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • May be required to work as a substitute nurse if another nurse is unavailable and communicate with Human Resources for employee file updates and credential maintenance.
  • Enter and retrieve data using computer systems, applications, and office equipment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to coordinate client care.

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Second Family, Inc. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values as well as follow all legal requirements in implementing duties according to policies and procedures. The employee shall support Second Family, Inc. 's strategic Ian and the goals and direction of the performance improvement Ian.

Experience
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, working directly with individuals.
  • Working knowledge of COMAR regulations and OSHA guidelines.
Education and Training
  • Minimum associate's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure in the State of Maryland.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
Physical/Working Conditions
  • Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, and supporting clients.
  • Exposure to viruses, diseases, and infections from patients and specimens.
  • Required to work at any facility owned by Second Family, Inc.; responsible for own transportation.
