Compensation: $80 – $90 per hour (based on experience)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Behavioral Health Urgent Care team. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment and is passionate about providing immediate, high-quality mental health care.
As a PMHNP, you will play a critical role in stabilizing patients in crisis
, conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medications, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and risk evaluations
- Diagnose and treat a range of mental health and substance use disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Provide brief therapy, crisis intervention, and stabilization services
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical providers
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Coordinate referrals and transitions to appropriate levels of care
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Active, unrestricted license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Board Certified PMHNP
- Minimum 3
years of psychiatric clinical experience; - 4 years’ experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in urgent care, crisis response, or emergency psychiatry
- Experience serving diverse and underserved populations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages)
- Competitive hourly rate: $80 – $90/hour (DOE)
