Are you ready?

The Account Manager - Industrial Automation position requires qualifying new accounts and opportunities or furthering relationships or opportunities with existing customers within Food and Beverage, Government, Water & Wastewater Treatment markets. This role requires someone who is self‑sufficient, comfortable working remotely, and is highly motivated to nurture and develop key market verticals.

The ideal candidate for this role has an interest in automation control, specifically PLC & VFDS, motor control, pneumatics, and electrical services. Experience preferred. The Account Manager must effectively leverage internal and external resources for product and customer service support, maximizing time spent generating revenue through opportunities. An automation team will support opportunity support and project management.

In This Role You Will
  • Implement strategy to increase sales and profits from key accounts
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity
  • Understand customer business needs and work closely with supplier partners to find solutions
  • Give presentations on new products and answer product and company service questions
  • Attain or exceed sales and profit budget
What You Bring To The Table
  • 4+ years of experience preferred
  • 4-year degree preferred
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with RFI and RFP processes
Pay Details

The expected salary for this position starts at $100,000 annually, depending on experience. This position is also bonus eligible based on specific and relevant business metrics. Your personal vehicle may be used for business purposes, and Graybar offers a Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) reimbursement program.
