Temporary Community Impact Officer

We are looking for a motivated, member-focused, target-driven team member to join our Business Development team as a Temporary Community Impact Officer.

Fed Choice Federal Credit Union and the Fed Choice Charitable Foundation are seeking an energetic, community-focused professional to join our team as a Temporary Community Impact Officer. This short-term (approx. 3 months) opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, engaging with diverse audiences, supporting financial wellness initiatives, and representing a mission-driven organization throughout the community.

In this role, you will serve as a key ambassador for Fed Choice, supporting membership growth efforts, assisting prospective members with account openings, and representing the organization at community events, federal agency locations, conferences, and membership drives.

• Represent Fed Choice Federal Credit Union and the Fed Choice Charitable Foundation at community events, membership drives, and partner locations.

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing membership drives and outreach events.
• Support event logistics, including setup, materials management, and on-site operations.

• Guide prospective members through account opening and onboarding processes.
• Review paper and digital applications for completeness and accuracy.

• Support relationships with federal agencies, contractors, community organizations, and strategic partners.
• Assist with identifying new outreach opportunities and prospective member groups.
• Participate in partnership meetings and follow-up activities as needed.

• Work closely with Financial Service Centers, Marketing, and Business Development teams.
• Coordinate outreach activities and membership drive support with branch staff.

• Promote Fed Choice products and services during events and member interactions.
• Identify opportunities to connect prospective members with products that meet their financial needs.

• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, event participation, and membership applications.
• Assist with inventory management of promotional materials and event supplies.
• Complete other duties as assigned to support business continuity.

You should have:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 1–3 years of experience in customer service, community outreach, sales, business development, membership services, or a related field.
• Experience supporting events, membership drives, recruiting, or client onboarding is highly preferred.

Required:

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with a passion for helping others.
• Ability to build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital/mobile applications.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of financial services or credit union operations is a plus.
