Sales & Design Manager

Pro Kitchen & Bath is seeking an experienced Sales & Design Manager to lead our sales efforts and support our design team in Lanham, Maryland. This role is built around outside sales, leading efforts to get in front of potential clients, contractors, and referral partners to continue the company’s growth, while also managing and mentoring our existing sales and design team.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands commercial and residential construction, is comfortable tackling problems and challenges head-on, and knows how to guide a team through issues that come up on real projects. A strong sense of design and current trends is essential as this person will help shape how the company presents kitchen and bath solutions to clients and will play a key role in driving sales initiatives.

The role

• Drive outside sales efforts by building relationships with contractors, builders, property managers, and design professionals to generate new business
• Represent Pro Kitchen & Bath at client meetings, job sites, industry events, and community functions to promote the company and win new work
• Lead and help develop sales initiatives for the whole company, including goals, pricing strategy, and promotional programs
• Manage the sales process from initial consultation through contract and close, maximizing design services, cabinetry, and product sales
• Develop and manage the team to consistently hit monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
• Manage, coach, and support the existing sales and design team
• Face problems head-on, identify issues early and work directly with the team to resolve them before they affect a project or client relationship
• Help the team navigate client, scheduling, and project issues as they arise, acting as an escalation point when needed
• Recruit, train, and onboard new team members as the business grows

• Apply a working understanding of construction practices and how job sites operate to guide clients and the team through renovation and remodeling projects
• Coordinate with contractors, tradespeople, and installers to keep projects on schedule and address issues on-site
• Oversee the design and sales agreement process, ensuring accuracy of scope, pricing, and timelines

• Maintain a strong understanding of kitchen and bath design principles, materials, and current style trends to guide clients and support the design team
• Utilize design software (such as 2020 or Pro Kitchen) to review and refine detailed project plans
• Help keep showroom displays, sample materials, and presentations current with the latest trends in the market

• Track sales activity, pipeline, and project performance, reporting regularly to ownership/executive management
• Help establish and implement short- and long-range goals, policies, and operating procedures for the sales and design functions
• Promote positive relationships with vendors, partners, and distributors

• Proven track record in outside sales and client relationship management, ideally in kitchen, bath, cabinetry, or building materials — including presenting solutions and closing deals in a B2B/trade-focused environment; familiarity with the DC, Maryland, and Virginia markets is a plus
• Experience managing or mentoring a sales or design team, including helping team members work through challenges
• Comfortable leading sales strategy and initiatives at a company-wide level, not just individual deals
• Kitchen and bath design experience, with the ability to interpret plans and architectural drawings, measure spaces accurately, and use design software (2020, CAD, or Pro Kitchen) to create functional, attractive layouts
• Strong eye for design, materials, and current trends in kitchen and bath, with knowledge of cabinetry, countertops, and related materials; including product features, finishes, and installation considerations, to guide clients in their selections
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with attention to detail in preparing quotes, managing orders, and tracking timelines across multiple projects
