Senior ServiceNow Developer

Position SummarySD Solutions is seeking a Senior Service Now Developer to provide advanced development, configuration, integration, and technical support for the IRS IRWorks Service Now platform. The Senior Developer will design and implement enterprise Service Now solutions while supporting platform enhancements, integrations, releases, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and continuous modernization.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, configure, and maintain enterprise Service Now applications and workflows.

Develop solutions across ITSM and other Service Now modules.

Create and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, and related platform components.

Develop workflows and automation using Flow Designer and Integration Hub.

Design and implement REST/SOAP API integrations.

Support CMDB/CSDM implementation and data-quality initiatives.

Develop and maintain UI Builder experiences and Service Now Work spaces.

Support Service Now upgrades, patches, releases, and regression testing.

Participate in Agile sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical design sessions.

Develop technical solutions from business requirements and user stories.

Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

Support performance tuning and platform optimization.

Support Service Now security and access-control requirements.

Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Evaluate and implement Now Assist and Service Now AI capabilities where appropriate.

Develop technical documentation and support knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications 6+ years of hands-on Service Now experience.

At least 2 years of Federal Government experience.

Advanced Service Now development and configuration experience.

Experience with ITSM and CMDB/CSDM.Experience developing enterprise integrations.

Strong JavaScript and Service Now API experience.

Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, UI Builder, and Service Now Work spaces.

Understanding of Service Now security, ACLs, upgrades, testing, and performance optimization.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.

Required Certifications Service Now  Certified System Administrator (CSA) - Required Preferred Certifications Applicable Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications, particularly in relevant IRWorks modules

Key Technical Skills Service Now  | JavaScript | Glide APIs | ITSM | CMDB | CSDM | REST/SOAP | Integration Hub | Flow Designer | UI Builder | Work spaces | ACLs | ATF | Now Assist Security / Access Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining IRS MBI / Tier 2 Moderate Risk suitability. Current or prior IRS MBI is strongly preferred.
