ServiceNow Developer

Position SummarySD Solutions is seeking an experienced Service Now Developer to support development, enhancement, configuration, integration, testing, and ongoing operations of the IRS IRWorks Service Now platform. The Developer will work within an Agile environment to translate business and technical requirements into secure, maintainable Service Now solutions.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and configure Service Now applications and functionality.

Translate requirements and user stories into technical solutions.

Develop Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, workflows, and automation.

Develop solutions using JavaScript and Service Now APIs.Configure Service Now modules and platform functionality.

Support CMDB and CSDM implementation and maintenance.

Develop Service Portal and/or UI Builder components as required.

Create and manage Update Sets and application deployments.

Develop and support integrations with external systems.

Participate in unit, system, integration, and user acceptance testing.

Support Service Now upgrades, patches, and regression testing.

Troubleshoot defects and production issues.

Perform data imports, transformations, and migrations.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.

Maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.

Follow IRS security, Section 508, and development standards.

Required Qualifications 5+ years of Service Now / Enterprise Service Management experience.

At least 2 years supporting Federal Government environments.

Strong Service Now application development and JavaScript experience.

Experience with Service Now APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and ACLs.

Experience with CMDB/CSDM.

Experience with Service Portal and/or UI Builder.

Experience with Update Sets and release/deployment processes.

Experience with testing, upgrades, integrations, and data migration.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Required Certifications Service Now  Certified System Administrator (CSA) Applicable Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification(s) Key Technical Skills Service Now  | JavaScript | Glide APIs | Business Rules | Script Includes | Client Scripts | ACLs | CMDB | CSDM | UI Builder | Service Portal | Update Sets | REST APIs | Testing | Data Migration Security / Access Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining IRS MBI / Tier 2 Moderate Risk suitability.

Current or prior IRS MBI is strongly preferred.

Ideal Candidate ProfileA strong hands-on Service Now developer with Federal experience who can move comfortably between configuration, scripting, integration, testing, release support, and production troubleshooting.
