The Ivera Group is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead new client acquisition, grow the firm’s book of business, and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing clients. Responsibilities include meeting with clients and prospects throughout the tri-state area, keeping partners informed of key business developments, and consistently following up on next steps to secure and strengthen business partnerships.
The ideal candidate will also actively participate in regional and national industry events and conferences to support ongoing business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware, while collaborating closely with internal sales and operations teams to support regional growth.
- Develop deep knowledge of the company’s service offerings and practice areas to identify profitable opportunities, effectively position solutions, and educate prospective clients within the regional market.
- Regularly evaluate sales performance and service quality, proactively addressing potential concerns in partnership with the operations team to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of prospects, engagement activity, and follow-up actions within Net Suite to support a structured and measurable business development process.
- Prepare and coordinate all materials required for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), partnering with division practice leaders and executive leadership to gather information, ensure accuracy, and deliver high-quality submissions.
- Monitor emerging industry trends through market research and ongoing dialogue with clients and colleagues, recommending new processes, services, or strategic initiatives to meet evolving customer needs in the region.
- Establish, develop, and manage strategic partnerships that expand regional market presence, generate new revenue opportunities, and strengthen long-term client relationships.
- Present regional business development insights, marketing opportunities, and growth strategies to the Executive Management team for evaluation, planning, and decision-making.
To be considered for this position, candidates must:
- Relevant industry experience with a strong understanding of market dynamics, client needs, and competitive positioning.
- Ability to travel within region, with some overnight stays, based on industry events.
- Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or client relationship management, with a proven ability to generate revenue and expand market presence.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities, with sound judgment to support effective decision-making.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders, manage priorities, and drive initiatives to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, paired with confident presentation and negotiation abilities.
- Well-developed business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, assess risk, and contribute to strategic growth.
- Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and the ability to build strong internal and external working relationships.
