About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and client-focused First Year Plan Onboarding Analyst to support newly implemented retirement plans during their first-year lifecycle. The role ensures plans transition seamlessly from New Business to Operations by executing onboarding audits, validating plan and corporate documents, reviewing system data, and supporting clients through early plan administration requirements.
This position is ideal for someone who loves problem-solving, enjoys working with clients, and has strong organizational skills. You will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service as new clients begin their retirement plan journey.
Key Responsibilities Onboarding Audit & Quality Review- Conduct full audits of the onboarding process and all associated documents
- Review plan documents, corporate documents, and call notes from initial setup
- Verify plan status and conduct quality checks to ensure completeness
- Identify missing items and provide clear summaries for follow up
- Review system data to ensure plan information is accurately recorded
- Review stock entries and confirm stock was issued correctly
- Organize client folders with all plan and corporate records
- Review retirement plan documents for potential errors and coordinate corrections
- Act as a proactive point of contact for new clients
- Provide documents and support to SBA lenders as needed
- Assist clients with Retirement Plan Loans
- Guide clients through the Year End Questionnaire and Census process
- Communicate complex plan rules in clear, client-friendly language
- Develop a foundational understanding of plan design, annual requirements, and compliance testing
- Work with internal partners to resolve onboarding issues and complete corrections
- Use internal tools, including Pension Pro and other systems, to manage tasks
- Maintain all client work within required internal and external deadlines
- Handle confidential plan information securely and professionally
- Participate in special projects as assigned
- Maintain ownership of all tasks and deliverables for assigned clients
- Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high accuracy
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to interact professionally with clients, partners, and internal teams
- Self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail is a must
