Title: Extended School Care Group Supervisor

Reports To: Extended School Care Site Director

Takes Direction From: Extended School Care Assistant Coordinator

Schedule/Calendar: 6 hours per day - 7:00 a.m.

- 10:00 a.m and 3:00 p.m.

- 6:00 p.m.

Salary: $26.31/hr.

Summary: This position is responsible for the planning, preparation, and implementation of daily activities, ensuring a safe environment, monitoring the location and activity of the children in the group at all times, and supervising the Program Assistants and Assistant Group Supervisors.

• A Group Supervisor is responsible for planning, preparing and implementation of daily program activities for their assigned group.
• Oversees the safety and location of all children in the group at all times.
• Ensures proper clean-up and maintenance of toys, materials, and equipment daily.
• Supervises Program Assistants and Assistant Group Supervisors.
• Follows all PA Department of Human Services child care guidelines.

• A bachelor's degree in early childhood/elementary education or human services field (Documented experience working with children preferred.) or an associate's degree in early childhood/elementary education or human services field and three years of documented experience working with children.

• Pediatric First Aid and CPR will be required upon hire.

If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the individual sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. The incumbent should be able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Medium work :
The incumbent should be able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.

Heavy work :
The incumbent should be able to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.

Very heavy work :
The incumbent should be able to exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and in excess of 50 lbs of force frequently, and in excess of 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
