Position Summary
As a Safety Specialist reporting to the Safety Director, your primary purpose is to act as the safety representative responsible for on‑site safety, health and environmental project activities, administration, coordination, and to provide a high‑quality product on schedule, consistent with the customer’s vision and project objectives. From project inception to final completion you will provide compliance assurance with clients, ALLY leadership and regulatory requirements regarding overall project safety measures.
Responsibilitiesand Accountability Internal
- Perform daily inspections of the project and address all matters relating to safety, fire protection, public safety, and property/product damage prevention.
- Implement and enforce ALLY and client policies such as fire watch, lockout/tagout, confined space, fall protection, etc. as directed by the Safety Director.
- Submit monthly workforce and accident reports to the Safety Director.
- Provide compliance assurance with client(s), ALLY and regulatory requirements regarding environmental health and safety.
- Maintain a collaborative partnership with client’s EHS organization.
- Provide construction and project EHS oversight.
- Provide environmental recordkeeping, guidance, and compliance supervision.
- Provide for emergency response leadership as defined by clients and ALLY.
- Conduct EHS training as required.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures and EHS Management Systems assuring EHS compliance.
- Perform hazard assessments and evaluations; implement risk reduction/mitigation strategies as appropriate.
- Drive implementation of EHS initiatives regarding high‑risk activities such as Confined Space Entry, Electrical Safety, LO/TO and Elevated Work.
- Support or lead incident investigations including root cause analysis, if required.
- Provide for EHS performance data.
- Assess and identify appropriate resources and equipment necessary to fully support EHS objectives.
- Support ALLY Safety Director on projects related to areas of responsibility.
- Attend Safety Committee meetings and others as required.
- Review and approve Job Hazard Analyses for defined critical tasks.
- Review/approve JSAs and Contractor HASPs.
- Inspect vendor operations using prescribed protocols.
- Collaborate with ALLY vendor partners to assure they operate their businesses in compliance with Client(s) and ALLY requirements while on‑site.
- Success working with subcontractors/vendors supporting mutual safety objectives.
- Proven track record of success executing high hazard prevention programs; specifically: LO/TO, electrical safety, confined space entry and fall protection.
- A proven track record managing regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work in a campus setting and corporate style environment.
- Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience (or similar) preferred.
- Proficient skills with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Jonas Premier and Microsoft Project. Training will be made available for Computer.

- Preferred BS in Construction Management, or equivalent years of experience.
- 5-10 years of commercial construction experience.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Have a valid driver’s license and properly maintained vehicle with the state minimum mandated levels of auto liability insurance.
- When driving on company business, a clean driving record, valid driver’s license, properly maintained employee‑owned vehicle with the state minimum mandated levels of auto liability insurance is required as a condition of employment.
