Job Summary
As a Senior Procurement Buyer for Engineering/IRAD at Honeywell Aerospace, you will manage procurement activities for Internal Research and Development projects within the engineering domain. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services that support innovative engineering initiatives, enabling Honeywell to maintain its competitive edge through innovation and technological excellence. You will report directly to the Senior Procurement Buying Manager and work on-site in Lansdale, PA.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize procurement processes to specifically adapt and support engineering IRAD projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and technical requirements.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate long‑term strategic agreements, and secure materials and services that meet quality and cost objectives while integrating into the IRAD IPT to ensure compliance with program and departmental requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand project needs and provide procurement solutions that support innovation and technical excellence.

- Minimum 5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably supporting engineering or R&D projects.
- Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation within a technical environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, with the ability to leverage technology to optimize purchasing processes.
- Experience working with engineering teams and understanding technical specifications to ensure procurement aligns with project requirements.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; engineering, mathematics, or supply‑chain background.
- Advanced degree in Engineering is helpful but not required.
- Experience managing procurement for IRAD or R&D projects.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
