Note:
HM is looking for DeltaV automation experience. Also, Life Science Manufacturing batch experience is mandatory.
Job Summary:
The Senior Automation Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Control systems-MES integration solution in an industrial environment. This position is responsible for design, programming and configuration of DCS systems, PLCs, SCADA and related software in accordance with MES integration requirements. They will provide technical support to customers, develop technical documents, and participate in project management and project coordination. The Senior Automation Engineer will be responsible for the development and implementation of automation strategies for industrial process control systems.
They will be required to have very good working knowledge of industrial control systems, and be able to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and configure DeltaV systems, PLCs, SCADA and related software.
- Understand MES – Control System Integration requirements and participate in Requirements workshops.
- Provide technical support to customers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop technical documents, including design specification, user manuals, and operational procedures.
- Develop and implement automation strategies for industrial process control systems.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade existing control systems as needed for MES integration solution.
- Participate in project management and project coordination.
- Monitor and analyze system performance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Utilize best practices, standards and procedures related to automation systems.
- Maintain and update knowledge of evolving automation technologies.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical, Electrical, Computer Science or Bio-Process Engineering, or related field. - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years relevant automation life science manufacturing experience.
