Our client is seeking a highly motivated Litigation Associate to join a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in litigation and an interest in working across multiple practice areas, including commercial litigation, environmental law, and personal injury. This role involves managing complex matters, conducting depositions, and drafting high-quality legal documents while contributing to a collaborative and professional legal environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee litigation matters across multiple practice areas
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with accuracy and clarity
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings
  • Assist in trial preparation and case strategy development
  • Maintain well‑organized case files and ensure timely filings and deadlines
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff throughout all phases of litigation
  • Stay current on changes in relevant laws and legal trends
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance litigation skills
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar admission and in good standing
  • Litigation experience or demonstrated interest across diverse legal areas, which may include:
    • Commercial litigation
    • Environmental law
    • Personal injury
    • Workers' compensation
    • Estate planning
    • Family law
    • Immigration law
    • Securities law
    • Landlord-tenant law
    • Intellectual property or regulatory matters
  • Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and Lexis Nexis
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Effective negotiation and advocacy abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Prior law firm experience preferred but not required
