Job Summary

Accountable for executing and optimizing the sourcing solutions of the end‑to‑end supply chain with a 1‑5 year horizon. This role collaborates with the Sourcing Manager to develop supply‑chain solutions for new product development, make‑vs‑buy decisions, global capacity additions, risk mitigation, and support business growth. The individual builds relationships at all levels of the organization and with suppliers and partners, focusing on NPD, outsourcing, business continuity, cost‑optimized solutions, and future needs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead supplier identification, development, negotiations, cost analysis and selection to support long‑term business needs.
  • Assist in developing and implementing supply‑chain strategies that enhance competitive advantage for Greene, Tweed and its customers.
  • Interface with key internal functions (product management, project management, manufacturing, advanced technology, engineering, sales, quality & finance) to align new‑product development and business growth.
  • Implement purchase orders for new‑product development projects (pre‑stage gate to stage gate
    3) and CapEX purchases in a timely, cost‑advantaged manner.
  • Lead risk‑mitigation and outsourcing strategy development and assist with contract negotiations.
  • Perform risk analysis of proposed procurements and develop mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Collect market intelligence and develop supplier profiles for material trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with finance to assess make‑vs‑buy options and provide recommendations.
  • Provide long‑term forecasts to key suppliers based on historical consumption and growth projections.
  • Enforce strategic inventory policies to achieve inventory‑turn objectives.
  • Implement value‑stream mapping, risk assessments and lean manufacturing tools.
  • Contribute to integrated business‑planning processes for a comprehensive view of the end‑to‑end supply chain.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply‑chain, technical or business; preferred certifications: CPM / CPSM, APICS, CIPS, IOM or regional equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience across all procurement disciplines (spend category management, market & cost analysis, negotiations, supplier selection, performance management & value management).
  • Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to translate technical needs into supply‑chain solutions.
  • Excellent internal and external interfacing skills.
  • Experience with global supply chain is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP software required, with SAP experience preferred.
