Fabrication Assembler – Contract-to-Hire

Lansdale, Pennsylvania
Pay: $20–$24 per hour, depending on experience

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Fabrication Assembler to support the fabrication and assembly of foam, vinyl, wood, and related sports products. This entry-level fabrication position involves preparing materials, gluing, trimming, performing basic cutting and drilling, finishing products, and conducting quality inspections. The ideal candidate can follow work instructions, specifications, drawings, and verbal direction while maintaining a safe, organized, and accurate production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform fabrication and assembly tasks, including gluing, trimming, material preparation, basic cutting and drilling, and product finishing.
- Use approved tools, materials, equipment, and procedures to complete assigned work.
- Read and follow work orders, production drawings, patterns, specifications, and verbal instructions.
- Measure, mark, prepare, and verify materials before and during fabrication to ensure accuracy and reduce rework.
- Inspect completed work and report defects, material issues, inconsistencies, or quality concerns to the appropriate lead or manager.
- Keep tools, materials, and work areas clean and organized.
- Support the safe movement and staging of production materials.
- Follow company safety procedures, equipment guidelines, state and federal safety standards, and required personal protective equipment practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of production, assembly, fabrication, and safe material-handling practices
- Familiarity with basic measuring tools, work orders, drawings, and specifications
- Skills in gluing, trimming, material preparation, measuring, cutting, drilling, assembly, and product finishing
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality expectations
- Ability to inspect completed work and report defects, safety concerns, or material issues
- Strong attention to detail, productivity, and organization
- Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to take direction, support others, and adjust to changing production needs
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- Foam fabrication
- Woodworking
- Wall-pad production
- Sports-product manufacturing
- Upholstery
- Product assembly
- Hand and power tool operation
