Advocacy & Civic Engagement Manager
Established in late 2018, Woori Center’s mission is to organize Korean and Asian Americans to achieve social, racial, and economic justice. Serving the Greater Philadelphia, Woori Center empowers the most vulnerable community members including the low-income, recent immigrant, limited English proficient, undocumented, youth, women, and seniors. Through education, social service, community organizing, public policy advocacy, civic participation, and arts & culture programs, Woori Center ensures that these community members can impact progressive change at the local and state levels.
Woori Center is an affiliate of, and fiscally sponsored by, a national progressive Asian American organization, NAKASEC.
Woori Center is seeking a dedicated and community-driven Civic Engagement Organizer to lead our voter engagement programs and drive general community organizing for long-term base building. This position will report to the Advocacy & Civic Engagement Manager. This position is focused on reaching out to the local Asian American community to determine felt needs via needs assessments, civic engagement and social media.
The Civic Engagement Organizer will also provide programmatic support and gain administrative experience.
Ideal candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and independent team players who thrive on connecting with others.
