Substitute Bus Assistant

Reports To:

Coordinator of Transportation. Takes Direction From:
Fleet Manager.

Salary: $15.50/hr.

Assist bus and van drivers in providing safe transportation of school students.

• Assist young or disabled students safely on and off bus or van
• Monitors student conduct and documents safety violations
• Handles, loads, and secures wheelchairs, installs and secures car seats and boosters
• Handles, loads, and secures any medical equipment or devices as required
• Maintains confidentiality regarding student information
• Maintains professional behavior with all stakeholders
• Ability to physically render aid to students in the event of an accident or emergency
• Assists drivers with housekeeping of the vehicle

• Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED
