This role is responsible for scheduling and coordinating daily activities within the Milling Plant, including reviewing employee schedules, managing workloads, and planning daily production. The position holds ultimate accountability for job floor operations, ensuring departmental goals for Safety, Quality, and Efficiency are consistently met through the application of best practices.
Position Responsibilities- Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly activities of Milling Plant Operators, including weekend coverage.
- Monitor performance against TQL goals set by the Paint Plant Manager.
- Represent NPAA professionally with employees and internal/external customers.
- Schedule Milling process orders, order raw materials, and assemble ticket packages.
- Oversee basic maintenance, inventory control, and cycle counts for the Milling Plant.
- Maintain parts and supplies needed for production.
- Conduct audits and collaborate with other departments on workflow and process updates.
- Identify off-quality products and initiate corrective actions per company procedures.
- Use SAP, Microsoft Access, and Office tools to track performance and processes.
- Administer performance reviews and maintain housekeeping and equipment calibration.
- Manage Visual Process Control and ensure adherence to safety and SOPs.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and process control tables.
- Provide and coordinate employee training; lead safety and communication meetings.
- Participate in team projects and lead departmental initiatives.
- Support daily operations including batch making, QC, and formula adjustments.
- Assist in other Operations areas as needed.
- Handle and label waste according to NPAA procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of a math assessment.
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Technical, or Quality roles.
- Working knowledge of Milling, QC, Batch Making, and Filling.
- Certified in Grind and Dirt Check test methods.
- Familiarity with product Loading Charts is preferred.
$27.61 to $42.05 hourly. Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
