Position: Customer Service Associate I
Overview

We are seeking a Customer Service Associate I at Family Dollar for a part-time role. Compensation range: $15.00-$15.50 per hour.

Location:

Lansing, IL.

Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with questions and recommendations
  • Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register
  • Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
  • Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
  • Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
  • Maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms, floors, trash removal, and keeping areas neat and presentable
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
  • Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are required
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
