Responsibilities GM Diesel Technician:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drive trains, and vehicle systems using GM-approved methods.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including inspections, oil changes, filter replacements, and system troubleshooting.
  • Use advanced diagnostic equipment to identify issues and complete accurate repairs.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship and adhere to manufacturer standards and dealership guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Stay current with GM training requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Document all repair work clearly and efficiently.

Requirements / Qualifications GM Diesel Technician:

  • Previous experience as an automotive or diesel technician is required, with dealership or GM experience preferred.
  • GM Diesel Certification or GM training is preferred, but if you have strong foundational skills, we offer full GM training and certification programs for qualified candidates.
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot diesel engines and vehicle systems.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work efficiently, follow repair processes, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ability to lift, move, and work with automotive equipment as needed.
