General Carpenter Commercial Service Technician

The GC Service Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of skilled maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks to ensure commercial properties are properly maintained, safe, and operational. This role plays a key part in preparing facilities for occupancy, addressing ongoing maintenance needs, and supporting building functionality.

• Perform complex maintenance and repair tasks on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems and General Facility repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
• Can handle projects at multiple properties.
• Maintains inventory of commonly used products and equipment.
• Ability to perform and support a wide range of commercial building maintenance tasks. General facility repairs, including appliance repair and replacement, carpentry, drywall installation and repair, electrical work, flooring, painting, plumbing, pressure washing, and window and door maintenance and repairs.
• Prioritizes and documents repairs per policy and standard operating procedure.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to climb ladders, ascend/descend stairs, and navigate various areas throughout the property, including confined or elevated spaces.
• Ability to effectively communicate with other employees both in person, written and via electronic channels.
• Candidates must have your own tools.
• Perform other duties as required to support business needs.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Strong technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
• Must be on time and at a specified property location as assigned.
• Valid, current, unencumbered driver's license.
• Good driving record with no major violations.
• Attention to detail.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent work experience in a similar environment.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a general handyman focusing on Commercial and residential real estate.
• Basic computer skills. Experience in Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.
