AMR is seeking a Float Paramedic to provide high-quality emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital care across multiple service areas. In this role, you will respond to 911 and interfacility calls, perform advanced life support assessments, administer medications, and manage airways while ensuring safe, efficient transport. You will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment alongside EMTs, nurses, and physicians, following AMR protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to 911 and non-emergency calls and provide advanced life support care
  • Assess patient condition and obtain medical histories
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and advanced airway management per protocols
  • Operate and monitor cardiac and other medical equipment during transport
  • Safely transport patients to hospitals and medical facilities
  • Communicate with dispatch, hospitals, and medical control for patient care coordination
  • Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately and timely
  • Maintain ambulance, equipment, and supplies in a constant state of readiness
  • Follow AMR safety protocols, infection control, and quality standards
  • Participate in ongoing training, drills, and community outreach as needed
