Cost Accountant

3+ Years’ experience in Accounting / Plant Accounting

Venteon is hiring a Cost Accountant / Plant Accountant to join an industry leader and employer of choice!

This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and wants to play a key role in driving financial performance. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted partner to plant leadership and a subject matter expert in cost and inventory accounting.

• Provide financial support and guidance to the Plant Controller, General Manager, CFO, and plant teams
• Act as the subject matter expert on cost accounting and inventory transactions
• Support budgeting and forecasting for cost of goods sold and inventory
• Analyze cost structures, margins, and overall financial performance
• Maintain and update standard costs within the ERP system
• Perform month-end close activities, including variance analysis for COGS and inventory
• Prepare financial reports, statements, and audit schedules
• Support internal/external audits and corporate reporting requirements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and shipping teams
• Drive process improvements and support special projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including plant or cost accounting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong data analysis and research capabilities
• Proven ability to build relationships across departments
