Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Lansing seeking Bookkeeper / Office Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Process payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, for management review.
  • Oversee general office administration, including ordering supplies, managing correspondence, and maintaining office equipment.
  • Assist with human resources tasks, such as onboarding new employees and maintaining personnel files.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and vendor services to ensure a well-functioning office and manufacturing environment.
Recommended Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Quick Books Desktop and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Experience with general office administration, including supply management and vendor relations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with inventory management and tracking systems (e.g., ERP software).
  • Familiarity with job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) accounting.
  • Proficiency in using Quick Books Enterprise or similar accounting software tailored for manufacturing.
  • Experience with expense management platforms (e.g., Expensify, Concur).
  • Strong understanding of sales tax regulations specific to manufacturing and multi-state operations.
