Associate Accountant

Auto-Owners Insurance seeks a motivated individual to join our accounting team. This role is part of a merit‑based work‑from‑home program following initial in‑person training. The position focuses on preparing and analyzing financial reports, maintaining accounting systems, and supporting decision‑making.

• Prepare accounting reports for federal and state agencies.
• Learn and apply insurance accounting principles.
• Assist in developing automated accounting systems from manual operations.
• Utilize computer stored data for problem solving.
• Provide management with reports used in decision making.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to organize data, multi‑task, and make independent decisions.
• Above‑average communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to resolve complex issues.
• Interest in developing product knowledge through approved educational programs.
