Intermediate Accountant

Job Description

We are in search of an Intermediate Accountant for our Detroit, Michigan location. The primary function of this role is to handle various accounting tasks, including processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, auditing, and fiscal management. This role plays a significant part in our industry, ensuring accurate financial operations and records.

• Handle general accounting duties, including the processing of customer credit applications.
• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct audits and fiscal management, adhering to the guidelines of GAAP and other applicable accounting procedures.
• Utilize accounting software systems like ADP
  - Financial Services, Case Ware, Ceridian, and Concur for daily tasks.
• Provide excellent verbal and written communication to build detail oriented relationships with employees and auditors.
• Execute tasks independently to meet deadlines and complete tasks requiring concentration.
• Use specialized software to maintain accounting records and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as accounting software.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) along with other accounting functions.
• Adapt quickly and accurately, shifting attention among multiple tasks under distracting conditions without loss of accuracy.
• Be ready to work a flexible schedule, including evening and/or weekend hours when required.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory.
• Experience with ADP
  - Financial Services is required.
• Knowledge of Case Ware is essential.
• Familiarity with Ceridian software will be beneficial.
• Ability to handle Accounting Functions effectively and efficiently.
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Understanding of Accrual Accounting is required.
• Experience in Auditing is necessary.
• Concur software knowledge will be advantageous.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an accountant. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory.

Experience with ADP
- Financial Services is required. Knowledge of Case Ware is essential. Familiarity with Ceridian software will be beneficial. Understanding of accrual accounting and auditing is required.
