Bookkeeper

Midwest Press & Automation LLC (MPA) is a fast-paced, rapidly growing company servicing the metal forming industry. We are looking for a full time Bookkeeper.

• Preferred:
  An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or business
• Or 3-5 years of experience in the field. Certifications - Certified Bookkeeper or Certified Public Bookkeeper preferred but not required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Sheets
• Understanding Quickbooks Online and ability to navigate in ERP systems

• Record precise, daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and assist with inventory tracking
• Support payroll processing by calculating hours, tracking deductions, and issuing employee payments utilizing Paychex
• Prepare, maintain, and organize financial reports, including cash transactions and expense tracking
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities
• Maintain vendor and customer records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and discrepancies
• Assist with audits by providing requested documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Collaborate with management to track costs and support budget monitoring
