Bookkeeper​/Accounting Specialist

Capital Imaging, Inc. is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist to join our team in Lansing, Michigan.

This is an in-office, part-time position of approximately 25–30 hours per week
. We are looking for someone interested in a long‑term position with an opportunity to grow in responsibility.

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Bank and account reconciliations
• General ledger and routine accounting entries
• Financial reporting and month-end support
• Working with our outside CPA/accounting firm
• Maintaining accurate financial and business records
• Supporting other general office accounting functions

Our primary systems include Sage Accounting, Paychex Payroll, and Cyrious Control
. Experience with these specific systems is helpful but not required. Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software are important.

We aren't looking for someone who simply enters transactions. As you become familiar with the business, we'd like you to help management better understand the numbers behind our operation.

That could include analyzing departmental costs, gross margins, labor and material costs, overhead, profitability, and identifying areas that deserve management's attention.

You don't need to know our industry when you walk through the door. You do need a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to learn how the business works.

• Bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or related experience or education
• Understanding of basic accounting principles
• Strong computer and software skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Comfortable asking questions and investigating discrepancies

An accounting or finance degree is welcome, but practical experience and demonstrated ability are equally important.
