OverviewStudent employees in the Financial Aid Department will assist with: timely accurate data entry, scanning, and indexing of all incoming financial aid documents received by mail, fax, in-person, drop box or electronically within the Document Processing Area. Run reports and perform prescribed system updates based on report results. Support the operations of the loan and scholarship programs by performing PLUS Loan credit checks, maintenance of external scholarship list and other essential duties.
Responsibilities- Assist with data entry, scanning, and indexing of incoming financial aid documents.
- Process documents received by mail, fax, in person, drop box, or electronically within the Document Processing Area.
- Run reports and perform system updates based on report results.
- Support loan and scholarship program operations, including PLUS Loan credit checks and maintaining external scholarship lists.
- Maintain attention to accuracy and timeliness in document processing.
- Enrolled and actively attending the following total LCC credit hours by semester:
Fall and/or Spring = 6.0 credits minimum (taken over 16-week period);
Summer = 3.0 credits minimum (taken over 8-week period). - 2.00 GPA minimum (unless it’s the student’s first semester of enrollment at LCC and/or approved to waive by the Student Employment Coordinator).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Actively pursuing a certificate, associate, or undergraduate degree at Lansing Community College.
- Note:
International students (F-1 visa holders w/ valid I-20 issued by LCC) must meet USCIS minimum enrollment requirements each semester to maintain employment eligibility:
Fall and/or Spring = 12.0 credits min. (16 weeks);
Summer = 3.0 credits min. (8 weeks).
