Flexible based on availability.

Description
  • Greet students and visitors and answer questions in person, by phone, and email
  • Provide information about campus services, registration, and resources
  • Help students apply to GRCC and enroll in classes
  • Assist students and parents completing the FAFSA
  • Support students with logging into and navigating MyGRCC
  • Serve as a resource for GRCC systems and general student support
  • Assist with scheduling and proctoring placement tests (English, ALEKS Math, LOEP)
  • Help students check out books, laptops, and other materials
  • Support the Lakeshore Campus Learning Resource Center as needed
  • Monitor printers, restock supplies, and assist with basic tech questions
  • Issue Raider Cards and help direct students to the right services
  • Assist with outreach efforts like calling campaigns
  • Support campus events, projects, and daily operations
  • Perform opening/closing duties based on your shift (e.g., stocking the snack pantry and printers)
  • Assist students with Bookstore Authorizations and navigating the Tuition Payment Plan.
  • Help students apply for the GRCC Foundation Scholarship and Michigan Reconnect.
  • Assist in the creation of campus-specific promotional materials and outreach.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with people of diverse ages, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Professional demeanor, including punctuality and reliable attendance.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong command of the English language (oral and written).
  • Familiarity with basic computer functions (Word, Excel, email, etc.) and campus systems (eGRCC, Blackboard, Webmail, etc.).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions effectively.
  • Adherence to established dress code guidelines.
