Join our team in the MSU Industrial Training and Assessment Center (ITAC) as a Student Assistant Project Coordinator
. The MSU ITAC ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) supports improving the energy, costs, and sustainability of small and medium manufacturers throughout Michigan. Our team also serves as Field Managers for the ITAC Expansion Program (). We support the success of over 25 community college, trade union, and university programs nationwide, in direct collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy. In this position, you will play a critical role in supporting the ITAC efforts, to ensure the efficient operation of the program.
Project Task Tracking
:
Support tracking of project tasks, timelines, and responsibilities of collaborative team members. Track project progress, create status reports, and manage stakeholder communication.
Mitigate Risk
:
Identify and mitigate risks or delays impacting project outcomes.
Email Correspondence
:
Assist preparing responses to inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming environment that maintains fast and quality communication among many stakeholders and advisory board members.
Communication Materials Development
:
Support the development of presentations, flyers and other materials to showcase success of efforts.
Event Management
:
Support coordination and organization of webinars, in-person and online events and collaborative meeting by coordinating RSVPs, attendee tracking, ordering of materials, supplies, ensuring a smooth and well-organized process.
Meeting Attendance, Tracking Action Items
:
Attend stakeholder meetings, take notes, and provide follow up correspondence and support for completing action items
- Detail-oriented and resourceful with a strong sense of organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passionate about sustainability, energy, workforce development, and/or manufacturing
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Forms, One Drive, Share Point
- Ability to respond to emails, phone calls, texts, and other correspondence in a timely manner
This is a part time position during the school years (10-20 hrs per week) and either part time or full time in summer (10-40 hours per week). Applicants must be available for multiple regular meetings per week during normal business hours.
