Sixty Plus, Inc., Elderlaw Clinic Administrative Assistant

Cooley Law School seeks a full-time Administrative Assistant for the Sixty Plus Inc., Elderlaw Clinic Office at its Lansing, Michigan campus. The Administrative Assistant manages office policies and procedures including client intake, case management software, and other technology in a busy law office. This individual supports the faculty, staff attorneys, and student attorneys; processes legal documents; and, maintains bookkeeping and coordinates with Law School Business Office.

Successful candidates will possess all or many of the following qualifications and/or skills:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• A minimum of two years of legal experience and/or working with students is required.
• Experience in managing an office, preferred.

Knowledge of the following software:

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Google Suite
• case management software (Clio)
• accounting software (Quick Books)
• course management system (Canvas)
• student information database (Jenzabar)
• web conference/video conference (Web Ex)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills. Customer service skills; excellent organization and time-management skills; ability to maintain confidentiality and multitask; and, ability to interact positively with individuals from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
