Job Title

This position works in the group (the STATIC Shop) tasked with completion of STATIC 99R sex offender risk assessments. This STATIC Shop is the primary work unit responsible for the completion of STATIC 99R file based objective risk assessment for almost all Sex Offenders sentenced to prison. Under the direction of Section management and Research staff, and guided by published scoring guidelines and procedures, the incumbent determines if a case is appropriate for STATIC scoring, obtains data from automated and paper files, reads and interprets the information, determines if additional information needs to be gathered from other sources, determines answers to questions on the assessment instrument, calculates the offender's STATIC score and risk level and enters results into a Department data base.

The incumbent is also responsible for justifying, explaining, and documenting individual STATIC scores and how they were determined.

Required

Education and Experience

Education typically acquired through completion of high school.

Experience:

One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service. OR One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service. OR One year of experience as a technician or paraprofessional equivalent to the entry level in state service. OR One year of experience as a supervisor of administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.

Education and Experience

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

Experience:

Two years of experience in a 7 level or higher non-administrative support ECP Group One classification. OR One year of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification. Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits) may be substituted for the experience requirement. Possession of a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.

Possession of a bachelor's degree and one year of job-related experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.
