Job Description
Insurance client seeking a Junior Business Analyst to help with one of their smaller teams that is experiencing growth due to the high demands of turning data into more efficient ways to help their customers user experience and underwriters ease of writing policies. This team acts as the liaison between the business unit Underwriting and the Actuarial team, providing analytics to them through Power BI.
Seeking someone with strong communication skills that has the confidence to reach out to stakeholders, set meetings with them, gather and document requirements, handle reporting, and create business outcomes.
- Develop and define business requirements and rules based on business decisions.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to implement and support business requirements.
- Gather and analyze information from various sources (interviews, workshops, surveys, documentation).
- Translate high-level information into detailed, actionable requirements.
- Act as a liaison between business, technology, and QA teams.
- Coordinate and support testing efforts.
- Organize and lead meetings across departments.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to learn and understand business processes.
- Proficiency with PCs and business software.
- Ability to learn new tools and manage multiple assignments.
Hybrid work model:
After initial training, up to 3 days/week remote.
Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.
Pay & BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
