Position Sourcing Pursuits Lead - What this job involves
The Sourcing Pursuit Lead supports a specific industry division by developing innovative third-party solutions and competitive pricing strategies. The role collaborates with Sourcing Specialists and Client Delivery leaders to deliver sourcing solutions that drive new business wins, client expansions and renewals. The ideal candidate serves as the primary sourcing liaison for the assigned industry division and may lead global pursuit initiatives requiring multi-regional coordination.

Responsibilities
Industry Division Partnership — be the primary sourcing point of contact for an assigned industry division, understanding sector requirements, market dynamics and client expectations. Build relationships with Sales teams and Sourcing Client Delivery leads to align on strategies and objectives.
Solution Development & Delivery — collaborate with Sourcing Specialists to develop end-to-end third-party solutions addressing industry challenges. Lead the sourcing component of pursuit activities with competitive positioning through supplier partnerships and tailored pricing strategies.
Global Pursuit Leadership — act as Global Pursuit Lead on multi-region opportunities, coordinating activities across geographic markets and aligning with regional Pursuit Leads to deliver cohesive global solutions.
Market Intelligence & Strategy — monitor industry trends, competitors, and supplier capabilities; provide insights to enhance market positioning and identify new opportunities.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building — support client meetings and presentations with sourcing expertise and tailored solutions.
Cross-Regional Collaboration — maintain relationships with Pursuit Leads and sourcing teams globally; share best practices and market intelligence to ensure consistent service delivery.
Continuous Improvement — identify opportunities to enhance sourcing processes and solutions; share best practices and implement improvements.
Required
Subject matter expert in JLL sourcing strategies, supplier relationships and program management.
Ability to create, present and sell JLL’s Sourcing Solutions to internal and external clients.
Ability to understand contractual terms impacting Sourcing & Procurement; coordinate with Corporate Legal & Risk to ensure compliance.
Ability to review RFP documents and develop detailed Sourcing Strategies including category strategies, cost-saving ideas and differentiation approaches.
Engage with Sourcing & Procurement Platform and stakeholders to support program development.
Engage suppliers to challenge status quo and identify savings or underwritten solutions.
Analyze supplier proposals and financial data to assess reasonableness of pricing and capabilities.
Negotiate to ensure pricing is underwritten accurately.
Provide responses to RFP questions related to Sourcing & Procurement.
Ensure compliance with sourcing and contracting policies and ethics.
Collaborate with peers globally to develop uniform solutions for global clients.
Preferred
Strong PM skills, strategic and tactical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration.
Excellent communication (oral and written).
Bachelor’s degree and/or 7–10 years of strategic sourcing or related experience; MBA preferred.
