OverviewPerform production and quality audits to ensure operations are effective, consistent and in compliance with business rules and processes. Primary focus includes auditing the Service Center teams Claims Support, Business Development, Billing and Service Center. Responsible for performing administrative and support tasks that may be highly confidential and sensitive. Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards and minimal travel.
Responsibilities- Conduct production statistics and quality audits of completed work in comparison to established documented procedures to determine accuracy and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
- Partner with management, union representatives, human resources, and team members to establish and maintain production and quality standards for Service Center teams.
- Compile, create, prepare and review information, audits and reports for accuracy; analyze trends of data, provide feedback, and recommend best practice guidelines.
- Analyze, evaluate and make recommendations for process improvements; attend training sessions and management meetings to understand changes to processes, regulations and workflows.
- Act as a consultant and advise management on production statistics and quality measures; assist with developing an action plan for improvement.
- Participate in complex projects as assigned.
- Work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Audit remainder of Service Center teams and train/mentor other team members.
- Attend meetings representing the audit team to establish or modify production quality standards.
- Education: Associate degree in insurance, business or a related field (equivalent education and work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Experience: Two (2) years with AF Group within Claims, Business Development, Finance, Service Center or equivalent Enterprise experience; OR Three (3) or more years in an insurance organization with working knowledge of claims management, underwriting, finance or auditing.
- Knowledge: Some knowledge of the Workers' Compensation Act, Claims, Billing and Policy processes and procedures for multiple states and underwriting rules for multiple states.
- Skills: Analytical and problem‑solving skills, ability to review and analyze documents, exchange information clearly, comprehend consequences, read/interpret data and policy documents, excellent verbal and written communication, manage multiple projects, basic computer and spreadsheet knowledge, mathematical calculations, proofreading, confidentiality, understanding of audit processes.
- Certification: Certification or progress toward certification in Quality Auditor, Quality Manager, Six Sigma or other quality designations is highly preferred.
- Additional Preferred: Ability to create surveys, industry recognized audit certification, advanced knowledge of best practices, assist in policy development, insurance education coursework.
